COVID-19 Resistance Plan
UPDATE ON OUR CURRENT COVID-19 RESISTANCE POLICIES
We are so excited to announce we will be starting a slow-phased reopening of our clinic! We want to make sure we do this as safely as possible for our staff and our clients, so please be patient with us through this transition.
Beginning Monday, June 15th, we will begin Phase-1 of our reopening. During Phase-1 you will have the option to accompany your pet into the clinic for their appointment with the doctor or remain in your car for a curbside appointment. If you will be coming to visit us soon, we ask that you please read through the following items so that you are aware of our new changes:
In-Clinic Appointments - When you arrive for your appointment please call us at 817-741-8050. We will have you wait in your vehicle until we have an exam room available. Our lobby will remain closed to waiting guests at this time.
Only one person is allowed to come into the building for the pet’s appointment. This person must be wearing a mask. With the serious shortage in medical supplies, we are unfortunately unable to provide a mask so please bring your own. If you are unable to come into the clinic alone, we will be happy to perform your pet’s appointment curbside.
We understand that some clients may not be comfortable coming into the building yet. You may request that your appointment be curbside with any of our doctors. Please just let reception know when you schedule the appointment.
What is a curbside appointment? A curbside appointment simply means we will bring your pet in for their appointment while you wait in the comfort of your car. When you arrive, please call us at 817-741-8050. A veterinary technician will then get a brief history about your pet over the phone and then come to your car to get your pet for their appointment. For our safety, we just ask that you get your pet out of the car. At times, we may even have you escort your pet to the front door before returning to your car. The doctor will examine your pet in an exam room, as normal, and discuss their findings over the phone with you. We will then check you out over the phone and bring any medications etc. to your car.
During Phase-1, all drop-off appointments, surgery drop-offs/pick-ups, appointments with our technicians, and medication/food pick-ups will remain curbside. We are just opening up our exam rooms for the time being. We will send out another update when we are able to move into Phase-2.
We have increased all sanitation protocols throughout this pandemic and will continue thoroughly sanitizing each room in between appointments! All of our staff will be wearing a mask throughout the appointment as well.
If you or someone you've been in contact with have any symptoms of Covid-19, we ask that you do a curbside appointment and let one of our team members know at the time of arrival so we can wear extra PPE for your pet's appointment.
We have missed seeing you and are looking forward to welcoming you back into the clinic! Thank you for all of your patience and understanding over these past few months.
