Dr. Kaycee Cash
Dr. Cash was born and raised in Georgia. She grew up with many pets in her home including dogs, pigs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, and birds! She always loved visiting friends’ houses and spending time with their pets too. Dr. Cash knew from an early age that she wanted a career focused on animals, but it wasn’t until she shadowed in a veterinary clinic that she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Cash’s first job in a veterinary clinic was as a kennel technician. She credits an amazing mentor for teaching her something new daily and sharing a compassion for animals that she now strives for in her own career.
Dr. Cash attended Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Minors in Chemistry and English. She played basketball through college and was very active in several different organizations including Alumni Council, Resident Life and First Year Peer Mentoring. Dr. Cash then went on to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2019 with a Mixed Animal Area of Emphasis. After completing school, Dr. Cash moved to Texas and went on to complete a 1-year Mixed Animal Internship at a busy practice and then joined the staff for another three years.
Dr. Cash is excited to be working with just dogs and cats here at North Texas Veterinary! Her main interests include soft tissue surgery, wound management, clinical pathology, and internal medicine. She also really enjoys behavior training and helping patients be less fearful at their veterinary visits.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Cash enjoys spending time with her boxer, Bella, and traveling. She loves visiting different states, National Parks, and participating in anything outdoors- sports, cycling, hiking, and exploring. Dr. Cash is an avid Georgia sports fan (Braves, Dawgs and even the Falcons!) but has adopted the great teams of DFW as well- the Rangers and the Cowboys!
